Facilities Assistant We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Assistant to join our clients Facilities Team initially on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic, rapidly expanding organisation where you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. As a vital member of the Facilities team, you will support daily operations across their sites, ensuring meeting rooms, canteen facilities, office areas, and wider site services are maintained to a high standard. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.45pm and 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Friday. The Facilities Assistant will: Assist with office relocations, workspace moves, maintenance requests, and larger facilities projects under the guidance of the FM. Maintain and replenish coffee machines and canteen supplies, set up meeting rooms and event spaces. Support waste management, including controlled and hazardous waste processes. Conduct contractor inductions and supervision, and assist with weekly fire alarm, and emergency lighting tests. Arrange servicing and repairs for company pool vehicles and occasionally travel to satellite sites to support facilities activities. You will be: Customer-focused and an excellent communicator who builds positive working relationships. Practical, hands-on, and willing to support a wide variety of facilities tasks. Highly organised and attentive to detail, with an adaptable, proactive approach. A collaborative team player committed to high standards of safety and service delivery. Essential for this role: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with good IT skills including Microsoft Excel. Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively, with an understanding of maintenance and contractor control requirements.
