We’re recruiting a Bank Support Worker to provide 2:1 support to a fun-loving young woman in her own home in Totton.She has autism and complex mental health needs and requires round-the-clock support, but her care needs are only one part of who she is.
She loves getting out and about, seeking her next thrill, shopping, baking and singing.We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, compassion and reliability to her support, helping her live life in the way she chooses.
Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:
- Compassionate, patient and understanding, with a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Experienced in supporting individuals with autism, complex mental health needs and/or behaviours that may challenge.
- Confident providing person-centred support and encouraging choice, independence and positive outcomes.
- Calm and resilient, with the ability to respond confidently to changing or challenging situations.
- A strong communicator who can build trusting and positive relationships.
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a 2:1 support team.
- Enthusiastic about getting involved in activities, whether that's shopping, baking, singing, days out or even a rollercoaster!
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts as part of a 24-hour care package.
- Committed to maintaining dignity, respect, choice and independence at all times.
