About The Role
Ventus Energy are seeking an experienced Tendering Engineer to join a talented team of personnel within our Projects Division; responsible for delivering high‑voltage cable installations, jointing, termination and testing and fibre optic installations across a range of HV infrastructure projects – and contribute to our ongoing successful project acquisitions. A Tendering Engineer at Ventus Energy will work alongside our tendering team based at our Head Office in North Shields and will be involved in the entire lifecycle of a bid; from the initial client request to the final contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Bid Management: Overall management and tracking of all aspects of the bid and tendering lifecycle.
- Technical & Commercial Review: Reviewing detailed RFQ packages, interpreting client specifications, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Viability Evaluation: Assessing project viability from both technical and practical perspectives.
- Client Communication: Managing communications with clients and aligning on technical and commercial clarifications.
- Bid Development: Development of Commercial and Technical Proposals and Tenders.
- Internal Collaboration: Working with project managers, the supply chain, and contracts teams to ensure accurate costing and a smooth handover of awarded contracts to the project department.
- Bid Delivery: Submission of Proposals to the client, either via client portals or via email.
- Process Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of tendering processes and systems.
