About the role
We are working with a leading public sector consultancy to source an experienced Product Owner for an initial 3-month contract, with scope for extension. The role sits within a national Care Identity programme, accountable for the delivery and continuous improvement of capabilities that enable secure, user-centred access to critical digital services used by clinicians and staff across the country.
Key responsibilities
- Own and prioritise the product backlog aligned to strategic objectives
- Define product vision, roadmap and outcomes for authentication and identity services
- Translate security, policy and technical requirements into clear user stories
- Work closely with architecture, cyber security, assurance and supplier teams
- Ensure Care Identity services meet required AAL and IAL standards
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-63, GPG44 and GPG45
- Use data and user feedback to continuously improve Care Identity services
- Work within multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a complex digital environment
- Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles
- Practical experience with SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Familiarity with AAL, IAL and NIST Digital Identity Guidelines (SP 800-63)
- Experience with UK government standards GPG44 and GPG45
- Track record of delivering products in regulated environments using agile delivery
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
