Venturi are working with a highly reputable, data-focused consultancy looking to expand its team by hiring an experienced Senior Data Engineer. In this role, you will deliver complex data solutions, contribute to enterprise-scale projects, and mentor junior engineers. You'll work across multiple domains, helping clients achieve measurable outcomes while developing deep technical expertise and progressing toward a leadership role.
The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, enterprise-scale data solutions and supporting the technical success of projects. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, client-facing consultancy, mentorship, and contribution to engineering standards, while maintaining accountability for delivery quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support complex data pipelines and platforms (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse, SQL pools).
- Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and solution design.
- Remain hands-on with complex or critical technical challenges.
- Contribute to engineering practices, CI/CD processes, and reusable frameworks.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery with business objectives.
- Support delivery risk management and ensure timely, high-quality project completion.

- Develop and test maintainable, high-quality data solutions.
- Deliver data platforms and pipelines within a cloud-based data ecosystem.
