We're supporting a major retail organisation delivering a large-scale global data transformation programme focused on modernising data capabilities, replacing legacy platforms and creating a scalable, cloud-based data ecosystem.

The Opportunity

As a Data Business Analyst, you'll work across business and technology teams to define requirements, support data initiatives and ensure successful delivery across multiple workstreams. You'll play a key role in:

  • Gathering and documenting business, functional and data requirements
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops across business and technical teams
  • Producing user stories, process maps and acceptance criteria
  • Supporting data mapping, lineage and source-to-target analysis activities
  • Working closely with Data Engineers, Architects and Integration teams
  • Supporting data migration, reporting, analytics and governance initiatives
  • Assisting with UAT, business readiness and delivery planning

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data-focused programmes
  • Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working on data platform, reporting, analytics or data transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of data flows, integrations and data modelling concepts
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Ability to engage confidently with both business and technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to some of the following would be beneficial: Snowflake, Azure, Power BI, SQL, dbt, Data Governance / Data Quality initiatives
  • Retail, hospitality or consumer-facing industry experience would be advantageous.
