Salary: £48,183- £50,636 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits

Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid working)

Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday

The Role

As a Data Architecture Developer, you’ll design, develop and maintain the systems that enable high‑quality, reliable data across the organisation. Working closely with IT, research and business teams, you’ll support data integration, modelling, warehousing and reporting, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of business intelligence solutions, helping colleagues turn data into valuable insight that informs operational and strategic decisions.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Advanced T‑SQL expertise, including complex querying using UNION, MERGE, CTEs, CROSS APPLY, PIVOT/UNPIVOT, and window functions (RANK, OVER, PARTITION BY), along with query tuning and optimisation
  • Experience developing stored procedures and user‑defined functions
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence data modelling and its importance for effective reporting
  • Hands‑on experience designing and developing database objects, including tables and indexes
  • Strong Power BI capability, including data modelling and DAX, with experience reporting from SQL Server and SSAS Tabular models
  • Experience integrating data from structured and semi‑structured sources (e.g. SQL databases, Excel, APIs) using SSIS
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience with VBA for automation, data manipulation, and process improvement
  • Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues, and develop monitoring and improvement solutions

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric for modern data platform development and management
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and data mining techniques
