We’re partnering with a leading beverage company who are looking for a Data & Analytics Engineer as they continue modernising their Data Estate. This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a modern Databricks data platform as the business continues to scale and modernise its cloud and analytics capabilities. You’ll work in a highly visible role, helping shape the future of the platform while partnering closely with teams across the business. The organisation is investing heavily in its modern data stack, including Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Live Tables, with a strong focus on building scalable, governed and high-performing data solutions.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytical datasets that support reporting, insight generation and strategic decision-making across the business.
- This role combines hands‑on engineering with strong stakeholder engagement, particularly within their financial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple business systems.
- Develop and maintain modern analytical data models and warehouse structures.
- Drive the ongoing modernisation of the Databricks platform, including Unity Catalog and DLT.
- Build reliable and high-quality datasets for reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, analytics and commercial teams to understand business requirements.
- Improve governance, monitoring, data quality and engineering standards across the platform.
- Support integrations with internal and third‑party systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automation and DataOps best practices.
- Help shape the future direction of the organisation’s data platform and engineering capability - especially as they develop their AI strategy and roadmap.
Key Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a similar Engineering/Analytical role.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Hands‑on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in modern cloud environments.
- Experience with Databricks and modern data platform architecture.
- Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Azure data services (ADF, Functions, Storage Accounts and related services).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD and version control.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity Catalog and DLT.
- Exposure to Power BI semantic models.
- Experience working with finance or forecasting datasets.
- Experience within FMCG / CPG environments.
- Interest in AI-enabled data solutions.
