We're partnered with a fast-growing construction organisation that's investing heavily in technology to support their continued growth.
As the business continues to scale, they're transforming the way they operate - moving away from spreadsheet-driven processes and disconnected systems to a modern, integrated Microsoft ecosystem that supports real operational workflows.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced technical leader to take ownership of the company's internal applications and systems integration strategy.
You'll play a key role in shaping the organisation's digital future while remaining hands-on with the technology.
The Opportunity
You'll own the Microsoft business applications platform from end to end, leading the design, development and evolution of business-critical systems.
You'll begin by delivering a bespoke internal application that has already been scoped and prototyped before driving a wider systems integration and digital transformation roadmap across the business.
If you're someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through technology while having genuine ownership and influence, this role offers exactly that.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver a Business-Critical Application
- Design and build a bespoke internal application supporting labour orders, approvals and CIS processes.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Own application architecture, security, data models and long-term technical decisions.
- Deliver a robust solution built for future growth.
- Drive Systems Integration
- Define and deliver the organisation's Microsoft-first integration strategy.
- Design APIs, data flows and automation to reduce manual processes.
- Improve connectivity across business systems and eliminate data silos.
- Deliver reliable reporting and business intelligence through integrated data.
- Own the Microsoft Platform
Take technical ownership of
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, Identity & Storage)
- Microsoft 365 integrations, including Share Point, Teams and Security
You'll also establish technical standards, governance and documentation while acting as the trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders across the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with strategic thinking.
You'll ideally have
- Extensive experience designing and building custom business applications.
- Strong systems integration experience using APIs and modern data flows.
- Hands‑on expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Platform and Azure.
- Experience making sound architectural decisions and balancing technical excellence with business needs.
- Confidence communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of business‑critical systems.
Why Join?
- Own a greenfield Microsoft platform with long-term responsibility.
- Shape the company's digital roadmap and technology strategy.
- Work directly with senior leadership and influence key business decisions.
- Enjoy genuine autonomy with minimal bureaucracy/red tape.
- Join a business that views technology as a strategic investment - Be at the center of that investment.
- Clear opportunity to progress into senior technology leadership as the organisation continues to grow, with potential to step into a CTO position in the next few years.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine hands‑on technical delivery with strategic ownership and have a lasting impact on a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
