We are looking for a professional SIA Security Officer to join our Stonehenge security team.
Job Type: Full time, Fixed term contract (1 year).
Salary: £14.58 per hour. This role is initially offered as maternity cover until June 2027, with potential for permanent status thereafter.
Duties:
- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure work is carried out effectively, safely and in line with company policies.
- Lead, motivate and support team members to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Ensure all staff clearly understand their roles, responsibilities and required procedures, including emergency and escalation protocols.
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members to ensure they are fully competent in their duties.
- Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular feedback where required.
- Carry out routine checks to confirm work quality, compliance, and operational standards.
- Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture, ensuring procedures are followed and risks are reported and managed.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs relating to operations, staff activity, and supervisory checks.
- Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal standards applicable to the role.
- Take responsibility for appropriate use and care of company equipment, vehicles, or resources under the supervisor’s control.
- Respond effectively to operational issues or incidents, taking suitable action and escalating when necessary.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical solutions.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working patterns to meet operational demands, including covering absences when required.
- Act as a role model for company values, professional conduct, and customer service standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Security officers must be fit, healthy and enjoy the outdoors; the role involves significant walking in all weather conditions. Cold and wet weather clothing system provided.
- Must hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a vehicle, due to the remote location.
