We are looking for a professional SIA Security Officer to join our team on a government contract in Tidworth.
Duties:
- Covering concierge and front-of-house reception duties including fire watch duties.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, including medical emergencies, by providing first aid if required.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
- Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid SIA licence: Security Guarding (SG), Door Supervision (DS) or Close Protection (CP).
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise suspicious activity promptly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to remain professional in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to organisational policies.
- Professional, reliable and well-presented.
- Able to produce clear and accurate written reports.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out regular patrols.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Confident communicating with a wide range of people.
- Computer literate with a good telephone manner.
Selection Process:
Security officers at this site must be either already Security Cleared (SC) or willing to undergo the SC clearance process, as well as have a valid SIA licence, either Door Supervision (DS) or Close Protection (CP).
