Site Supervisor in Barnstaple

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join a leading provider of roofing solutions. This field-based role requires residency within a reasonable commuting distance to North Devon.

In this role, youll oversee roofing projects on-site, ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and are completed to the highest standards. Youll lead a team of roofers, manage site operations, and ensure that all projects meet deadlines, quality expectations, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Roofing Operations: Manage and oversee all day-to-day activities on-site to ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Team Leadership: Direct and motivate the roofing team, ensuring productivity and high-quality work while maintaining safety standards.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Monitor site safety, enforce PPE use, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for the team.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that roofing work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring clear communication and a professional approach to addressing client concerns or requests.
• Project Management: Assist in scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting to ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar role within the roofing or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage teams and maintain high standards of work.
• Valid CSCS card and relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, First Aid).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Full driving license.
