We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (hybrid) to join our growing team in the UK!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Research and identify potential clients within the education sector, including schools, MATs, colleges and further education.
- Use a multi-channel approach (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.) to engage with decision-makers, such as Heads of Schools, IT Directors, and Procurement Officers.
- Execute outreach strategies to generate interest and build relationships with new leads.
Lead Qualification & Opportunity Identification:
- Qualify leads through consultative conversations, assessing their needs and determining their suitability for our products and services.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities by understanding a prospect’s broader needs, and present relevant product/service offerings.
- Leverage CRM cadences and engagement data to proactively identify opportunities for further engagement or follow-up with prospects.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to align lead generation efforts with campaigns and product launches.
Appointment Setting:
- Book qualified meetings, product demos, and discovery calls for the Sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff of information to Account Executives.
- Help drive customer engagement by introducing new product features or updates during follow-ups.
CRM & Pipeline Management:
- Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), ensuring all communications are logged and pipeline stages are updated.
- Use automated CRM workflows, cadences, and triggers to efficiently follow up with leads at the right time.
- Monitor lead nurturing and pipeline progress, ensuring no opportunities are missed.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Marketing team to support lead generation campaigns, provide feedback on content effectiveness, and improve messaging.
- Collaborate with the Product team to stay informed about new features or product improvements and communicate these effectively to prospects.
- Partner with Customer Success to understand existing client needs and identify potential cross-sell or upsell opportunities.
- Engage with the Sales team to refine outreach strategies and share insights from prospect interactions to help close deals.
Market & Competitor Research:
- Stay informed about the latest trends, challenges, and developments in the education sector.
- Conduct competitor analysis to understand their offerings and differentiate Education Brands in prospect conversations.
Target Achievement:
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings, lead conversions, and pipeline generation.
- Drive engagement through innovative outreach methods and a focus on building long-term relationships.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience:
- 1-2 years in a Sales Development Representative, Business Development, or Inside Sales role. Experience in the education or technology sectors is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and sales targets.
Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and engage with senior decision-makers.
- Skilled in listening and asking the right questions to understand prospect pain points and uncover opportunities.
Tech-Savvy:
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales engagement platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with using CRM cadences, workflows, and analytics to drive engagement and manage a sales pipeline.
- Knowledge of the education technology landscape is a plus.
Collaboration & Organisation:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle multiple leads and collaborate across departments.
- A proactive and goal-oriented attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
