This role isn’t about spreadsheets or software. It’s about real-world products — built from steel, used in aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics. As our Head of Sales, you’ll be the person customers trust to scope complex projects and get them right.
You’ll need the hands-on knowledge to understand how things are made, and the commercial instinct to win business and build relationships. You’ll quote, advise, follow up, and help shape how we communicate our technical capabilities — with full ownership and lots of variety.
If you’re a confident salesperson with fabrication experience — and you’re hungry to grow something meaningful — this is the place to do it.
We are a long established fabrication specialist with history going back 60 years. We are under new ownership and new management and are on a journey to be the very best in class business of our type.
You’ve worked in fabrication, engineering or manufacturing — with significant hands-on experience making things out of steel or similar materials. That practical knowledge means you can look at a drawing or a sketch and quickly understand what the customer wants — and what it will take to build it properly.
You’re commercially sharp and confident speaking to customers. You’re not just quoting prices — you’re building relationships, asking the right questions, and following up to win work. You enjoy taking ownership, staying close to the detail, and making sure everything you quote is accurate, buildable and profitable.
You’re probably the type of person who gets a kick out of seeing something you scoped become a real product on the shop floor. You’re proactive, organised, and want to work somewhere where your impact is visible every day.
This role is a mix of quoting, technical advisory, customer communication, and commercial development. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Project Quoting: Turn customer briefs, CAD files and drawings into accurate quotes that factor in materials, labour, compliance and lead times.
- Technical Advisory: Recommend materials, finishes and structural tweaks to ensure everything quoted can be built safely and profitably.
- Production Liaison: Work closely with the shop floor to ensure what’s promised is practical and deliverable.
- Client Relationship Management: Follow up on quotes, answer queries, and build long-term trust.
- Marketing Support: Help shape case studies, campaigns or event strategies that highlight our technical capabilities.
- Industry Representation: Attend trade shows and events to help grow our reach and network.
