Full stack Python Developer is required for a leading provider of sports betting brokerage software worldwide based in London. The successful Full stack Python/TypeScript Developer will be joining a small, tight-knit team, working closely with the quantitative researchers and alongside other extremely talented and driven engineers to build and support systematic trading models.
The successful fullstack python/typescript developer will:
- Write high-quality asynchronous Python code to interact with external websites and APIs
- Build responsive, data-rich frontend features using React and TypeScript
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose platform improvements
- Work in a Linux environment using Docker and Kubernetes
- Follow Agile practices using Scrum, GitLab, and Jira
Essential Skills:
- 2+ years of Python experience in a commercial environment, with strong asynchronous programming skills
- 2+ years of frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain polished, responsive user interfaces
- Experience with REST APIs and modern web frameworks, such as FastAPI
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend build tools
- Strong Linux and Git skills
Desirable skills:
- AWS or cloud platform experience
- WebSocket and real-time data handling
- DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible)
- Data science packages (pandas, numpy, matplotlib)
- Modern C++ knowledge (C++17 and later)
- Interest in sports betting, financial services or trading platforms
