About the Company
They’re a large, consumer-facing technology business operating an on-demand marketplace with real-time logistics at its core. The organisation has scaled rapidly across multiple international markets and continues to evolve its operating model as it grows. With a modern, product-led culture and a strong bias toward ownership, they invest in pragmatic security that enables the business to move quickly while meeting regulatory, customer, and stakeholder expectations.
About the role
This contract role sits within the Security Risk Management function and is very much hands-on. You’ll help shape, implement, and continuously refine a security risk management approach that is pragmatic, aligned to business priorities, and scalable across teams. The goal is to enable confident, well-informed decision-making in a fast-changing environment.
Your work will span a broad range of activities — from assessing risk in cloud-based systems, to strengthening metrics and reporting, to streamlining processes through automation. You’ll be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, keeping the focus on outcomes and delivery rather than theory.
What you’ll be doing
- Run and evolve a security risk management framework that supports business objectives, industry best practice, and regulatory requirements
- Perform security risk assessments (including cloud environments) and recommend practical mitigation actions and risk treatment options
- Review and improve existing risk management processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation — including automation and tooling
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed risk management into projects, controls, and delivery workflows
- Develop and refine security risk metrics and reporting to improve transparency, decision-making, and overall maturity
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of security awareness and risk management training materials
- Use Large Language Models (LLMs) responsibly to speed up risk analysis, documentation, evidence review, control gap analysis, and stakeholder communications
About you
- Strong hands-on experience delivering security risk management in a fast-moving organisation
- Experience conducting security risk assessments in cloud environments
- Confident defining meaningful security metrics and producing risk reporting that leaders can act on
- Working knowledge of common security frameworks and standards such as PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
- Practical experience using LLMs as part of day-to-day security risk management activities
Nice to have
- A mix of consulting and in-house experience
- Exposure to enterprise-grade integrated risk management / GRC platforms
- Certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP
