We are currently working with a well-established and growing independent investment banking advisory firm that is seeking to hire an M&A Vice President to join its team. The firm advises founders, private equity sponsors, and corporates on mid-market sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions across a range of sectors.
Role Overview
The Vice President will play a key role in leading transaction execution, managing junior team members, and acting as a primary day-to-day contact for clients. This is a hands-on role offering significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and a clear path for progression within a high-performing advisory platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions from inception through closing
- Oversee financial analysis, valuation, and preparation of marketing materials (teasers, IMs, management presentations)
- Manage analysts and associates, ensuring high-quality output and efficient deal execution
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with legal, accounting, and other advisors
- Support senior bankers in client relationship management, origination efforts, and pitch preparation
Candidate Profile
- 5-8 years of experience in investment banking M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
- Strong execution background with demonstrable closed M&A transactions (sell-side experience preferred)
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and mentor junior team members
- Strong communication skills and a commercial, client-focused mindset
