A leading global advisory firm is seeking to hire an Associate into its Power & Utilities M&A team in London. The team advises on a broad range of transactions across the energy and infrastructure landscape, including renewables, conventional power, utilities, and energy transition assets. This is a high-exposure role working on complex, high-value transactions across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute M&A transactions across the power & utilities sector, including buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates
  • Build and manage detailed financial models (valuation, LBO, DCF, merger models)
  • Lead the preparation of client materials, including pitchbooks, IMs, and management presentations
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with clients, investors, and advisors
  • Support senior bankers in origination efforts and sector coverage initiatives
  • Mentor Analysts and review junior workstreams

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Investment Banking, ideally with exposure to Power, Utilities, Energy or Infrastructure
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skillset
  • Experience working on M&A transactions (execution experience preferred)
  • Excellent academic background
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated interest in the energy transition and infrastructure sectors
