Our client is an established Alternatives GP with c. $60bn in AUM. They are looking for a Director to lead and grow relationships with institutional LPs across the UK and broader Europe. The candidate will be responsible for originating and developing capital-raising relationships with institutional investors including pensions, insurers, endowments, foundations, and sovereign wealth funds. The remit includes deepening UK investor relationships while expanding reach across key European markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead fundraising efforts for Private Equity and Credit strategies across UK and European institutional LPs.
  • Manage the full fundraising lifecycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Cultivate long-term strategic relationships with CIOs, portfolio managers, and asset allocators.
  • Collaborate closely with investment and product teams to align client needs with fund strategies.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and roadshows across Europe.
  • Provide input into broader distribution strategy and product positioning.

Requirements:

  • 8–15 years of experience in institutional fundraising or sales, preferably at a GP or placement agent.
  • Deep understanding of alternative investment strategies, particularly PE and Private Credit.
  • Established relationships with UK institutional LPs; broader European network a strong plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven fundraising track record.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
