A market leading business is seeking a high-performing, self-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the UK market. Key Responsibilities
  • Market Insight & Opportunity Identification: Conduct market and customer research to identify emerging opportunities and shape effective territory/account plans. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to maintain up-to-date market intelligence.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Growth: Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business prospects. Generate leads across all BD channels, including outbound outreach, referrals, targeted campaigns, industry events, and networking.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders including C-Suite decision-makers. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to maximise brand visibility. Facilitate commercial discussions, develop high-quality proposals, and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Sales Performance & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies that drive revenue, market expansion, and account growth. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts. Negotiate and close commercial agreements that meet both client needs and company profitability goals.
  • Proposal Development & Solution Design: Lead client discovery sessions to understand requirements and articulate how company solutions meet their needs. Work closely with internal teams and subject matter experts to craft tailored, high-impact proposals.
  • Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve commercial outcomes. Track performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.

  • Demonstrable success in a proactive business development or new-business sales role both on the phone and face to face.
  • Strong understanding of the industry landscape, client challenges, and competitive environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability.
