A leading law firm is seeking a Corporate tax associate to join their team in Guildford. The team advises a broad range of UK and international clients on corporate transactions and standalone tax matters including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, VAT, cross-border tax issues and disputes. It also has strong experience in venture capital work, including tax-efficient investment structures and employee share incentive arrangements.
The role involves supporting transactional work, drafting and reviewing tax documentation, liaising with clients, assisting on HMRC clearances and relief applications, and contributing to share scheme implementation. You will also support business development activity and general matter management.
Key requirements:
- 2–5 years’ post-qualified experience in corporate tax
- Strong drafting, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload with accuracy and attention to detail
