Financial Controller – £60,000–£80,000
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire + hybrid working
A 10m turnover company operating in a specialist environment is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function. For the right person, there is a clear progression route to Finance Director.
You will be responsible for:
- Financial control, reporting, cash management and commercial insight
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Strong financial controls, reconciliations and governance
- Short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting (including 13-week rolling)
- Budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling (capex, fleet, pricing, headcount)
- Margin and profitability analysis across asset categories and customer types
- Oversight of VAT, PAYE and corporation tax
- Managing relationships with banks, insurers and external advisors
- Improving systems and processes (Xero environment)
- Leading and developing a small finance team
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Proven Financial Controller or Finance Manager looking for the next step, with an SME background
- Strong hands-on financial control and cash flow experience
- Strong Excel and data-handling skills
Desirable:
- Xero experience
- Exposure to fleet/capex decisions
- Experience in hire/logistics/engineering/service sectors
- Involvement in scaling a finance function
