Legal Assistant – Family Department
One of our clients is looking for a proactive and organised Legal Assistant to join our busy Family Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and document management skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, amend and format legal documents, including tracked changes and comparison documents.
Manage diaries, organise meetings and appointments.
Prepare client bills and assist with client reporting.
Maintain case files and handle correspondence.
Provide general administrative support to the Family Department.
Respond professionally to telephone enquiries from clients and third parties.
Audio and copy type legal documentation.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a legal support or administrative role.
Strong document production and typing skills, including audio typing.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confident telephone manner and strong written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word; Excel skills are desirable.
Experience using Lexis Nexis Smart Forms is advantageous but not essential.
Able to work effectively as part of a team while using initiative to manage tasks independently
