An established and growing UK-based telecommunications organisation is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Accountant to support its expanding finance function. With a strong track record and a collaborative team environment, this role offers stability, flexibility, and the chance to be part of a business on an exciting growth journey.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger and wider finance operations. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a small but busy finance team. Key duties will include:
- Accurately recording supplier invoices within the accounting system
- Assisting with weekly supplier payment runs
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Supporting VAT return preparation
- Providing general finance support as needed across the team
About You
This role would suit an experienced purchase ledger professional who is comfortable working autonomously and juggling multiple priorities. You will ideally have:
- Experience working in a purchase ledger focused role
- Exposure to bank reconciliations, VAT, and some sales ledger activity
- An AAT qualification (or working towards one) would be beneficial
- Familiarity with Xero is advantageous, though not essential
What’s On Offer
Part-time hours: 9:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Salary guide: £28,000 - £32,000 FTE, depending on experience (pro rata for part-time)
21 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a discretionary Christmas closure
Quarterly bonus scheme (OTE £1,000 per quarter, pro rata)
