Venture Recruitment Partners are working with an internationally operating manufacturing business based in Fareham in their recruitment for a Payroll Specialist on a temporary fixed-term basis. The role holder will join a team of specialists to play a key role in shaping the development and improvement of the Payroll function and delivering timely and accurate payments in a tightly regulated and scheduled environment.
Key Details:
- Location: Fareham
- Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 at home
- Salary: Β£30-Β£33k
- Contract: 5 month FTC, possibility to extend
- ASAP start
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payrolls across the UK, EMEA, and APAC regions, ensuring all payroll schedules and deadlines are met.
- Manage end-to-end payroll cycle, including new starters, leavers, statutory payments, year-end submissions, and payroll reporting activities.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, payroll vendors, and external partners to resolve queries, escalations, and payroll-related issues efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and analysing opportunities to enhance payroll systems, processes, controls, and overall service delivery.
- Ensure payroll compliance through audits, controls testing, legislative updates, journal preparation, and adherence to country-specific payroll regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Proven payroll experience, preferably managing multi-country payrolls within the UK and international markets.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, year-end processes, and statutory payments, with the ability to maintain compliance.
- Experience using payroll systems, preferably ADP, alongside strong payroll accounting and reporting skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high workloads, prioritise effectively, and meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused approach and exceptional attention to detail.
- Full or part CIPP qualification is desirable.
