Their work focuses on restoring and protecting natural habitats, supporting the mitigation of ecological impacts arising from large-scale infrastructure and construction projects, and ensuring that development and conservation work hand in hand.
Overview
Our client is seeking a capable, detail-oriented in-house Paralegal to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing commercial contracts with clients, supporting the legal and commercial functions, and acting as the primary point of contact with external legal advisers. This role is primarily office-based, although hybrid working may be considered. You will play a key role in managing client relationships and legal processes, working closely with the Land Partner and Commercial teams.
Key responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and managing a range of commercial contracts and legal documents.
- Coordinating communications and workflows with the company’s external legal advisers.
- Maintaining accurate records of contract status, renewals and compliance obligations.
- Supporting internal teams in interpreting contractual obligations and managing risk.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of standard contract templates and policies.
About you
You will be an experienced, commercially aware paralegal who enjoys variety and responsibility. You will be confident liaising with clients, comfortable managing competing priorities, and have a strong eye for detail, particularly when it comes to contracts.
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a paralegal or contract manager, ideally within a commercial environment.
- A strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements.
- Excellent organisational skills and written communication abilities.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Previous experience relating to the development sector is desirable.
