Our client is seeking an experienced solicitor to join its established Litigation and Recoveries practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-regarded team acting for a broad range of prominent clients. The team delivers a creditor-focused service, providing innovative and commercially driven approaches to the management and recovery of debt and asset portfolios. By combining legal expertise, practical insight and the use of emerging technologies, our client supports efficient and effective outcomes for its clients. The firm’s offering extends beyond traditional legal services. There is a strong emphasis on tailored case management, integrated reporting and management information, together with a progressive approach to service delivery. With a clear understanding of industry pressures and regulatory requirements, our client is recognised as a reliable and trusted partner. The role will involve acting on behalf of finance providers, banks, lenders and commercial organisations, managing the recovery of outstanding debts and assets and dealing with associated litigation matters. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in defended litigation, together with a solid background in consumer credit and asset finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • Advising clients in writing, by telephone and in meetings
  • Progressing litigation matters across the small, fast and multi-track, from pre-issue through to enforcement
  • Drafting pleadings, evidence, court documentation and related correspondence
  • Providing strategic and commercially focused advice
  • Assisting with client reporting requirements
  • Responding to enquiries from prospective clients and liaising with colleagues where appropriate
  • Researching complex or emerging legal issues and developing practical solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with firm-wide policies and regulatory requirements
  • Building positive working relationships across the firm
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
  • Maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge and best practice
  • Upholding the firm’s core values, including collaboration, client focus and continuous improvement
