We are working with a successful global business in their search for a temporary finance assistant to support their cash accounting and financial control function across international entities. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in finance who wants to develop their skills in a fast‑paced multi‑entity environment with real ownership of key processes.

- Hybrid: 3 days in office
- Salary: 13 p/h+ PAYE
- Contract: 2 Months
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly journals, working closely with business partners to ensure appropriate support and sign‑off.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support regular reviews with finance managers and stakeholders.
- Process cash accounting activity across multiple international legal entities, reconciling cash applications and disbursements in a timely manner.
- Monitor outstanding banking items, taking ownership of queries and ensuring timely resolution.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports in line with the centralised reporting strategy and month‑end timetable.
- Maintain financial controls and standard operating procedures in accordance with group policies.
Requirements
- Degree‑level education or 2+ years of experience in a finance role, with essential experience in bank reconciliation and month‑end close processes.
- Comfortable posting journals and working across multi‑entity or international ledgers, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to manage competing priorities accurately and to deadline.
- Strong communicator with experience building relationships across finance and non‑finance teams, and a track record of supporting or improving finance processes.
