Experienced Kitchen Designer required for a British, premium lifestyle brand specializing in beautifully designed, high-quality furniture, kitchens, and home accessories meant to last for generations. Founded 30 years ago, this iconic brand has 30 stores across the UK and Europe with an exciting, ambitious expansion plan for the rest of 2026 and into 2027. Their Kitchen & Interior Designers are vital to the experience and service they provide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented Kitchen Designer who would like to extend their experience not only in kitchen design but also interior design.

Design

  • Listen to and discuss customer needs to create a design brief in store.
  • Discuss and consider all customer requirements in creating the design brief.
  • Arrange initial in-store consultations and home visits to learn more about the customers' requirements/lifestyle/ambitions and limitations.
  • Complete initial design brief consultations, sketches and ball park costings.
  • Prepare mood boards, sample boards, floor-plans, designs and full quotations.
  • Produce customer presentation packs to our exacting brand standards.
  • Conduct surveys and site visits as appropriate throughout the duration of the design project.
  • Provide regular updates to the customer and Store Leader regarding customer projects.
  • Build and maintain a store specific design portfolio for customer inspiration.

Project Management & Administration

  • Become proficient in our Systems Adobe Sign; Smartsheets and AutoCad.
  • Administer and manage customer projects including accurate payments and information through Smartsheets and Cyrane.
  • Work with and support colleagues in store, and the installation team, to provide a consistent and exceptional customer kitchen experience.
  • Be on site to assist in the delivery if required.
  • Ensure consistent accuracy by thoroughly checking and reviewing designs against orders and overseeing the seamless coordination of all order movements with the support of the Design Assistant.
  • Maintain strong levels of communication with the customer and the Installation Project Manager to ensure a seamless service for Kitchen installation.
  • Complete final design sign offs with the Showroom Manager.
  • Participate in weekly design meetings.
  • Provide keyholder support to the store with opening and closing.
  • Participate in training, designer days and other design product related events.

Continuous Development

  • Take responsibility for self-learning, completing all e-learning modules, HQ, and supplier training, as well as seeking out opportunities for personal development.
  • Support the development of the wider store team in understanding architects' plans, creating bespoke drawings, mood, and sample boards.
  • Support the wider team's development in store to enhance design knowledge.
