Due to a period of extended growth, we have an exciting opportunity within the company for a Service Manager, looking after our accommodation-based services in the East Sussex area. Ideally, you will have a background in adult social care, and experience in managing multiple sites. You will be overseeing a group of Team Leaders who directly manage their accommodation setting in our Mental Health Support Service, so you will be flexible on location, able to work at on-site offices and our Head Office in Worthing. The role is very varied and incredibly rewarding as you can make a tangible difference to the people we support, directing improvements and increasing management responsiveness.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of service, following our person‑centered ethos which builds individuals' confidence and promotes independence.
- Accountable for delivering on budget for income and expenditure across services.
- Responsible for maintaining improvements in quality and compliance across your services, in line with the Quality Assurance Framework, to deliver improved outcomes for the people we support.
- Actively participate within the strategic vision of the organisation; identifying local unmet need and devising solution‑focused service developments, in partnership with business development colleagues.
- Actively promote client involvement within your services and the company as a whole, being responsible for establishing measures of client satisfaction and seeking to improve this year on year.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of managing budgets and being accountable for budgetary performance.
- Experience of implementing and meeting internal Quality Standards.
- Demonstrable Leadership and Management skills – including experience in performance management.
- Effectively manage, prioritise and delegate as appropriate within the services.
- Experience in growing a service and ensuring performance within budgetary constraints.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience of holding budget accountability across multiple services.
- Experience working with vulnerable or socially excluded groups.
- Experience in producing Service Proposals and Assessment with MDT input.
- Management of dispersed teams.
