Venture Global LNG is a long‑term, low‑cost provider of American‑produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long‑term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

Joining the Shipping Operations team in London, you will hold a fundamental position in a team that manages the transport of LNG globally. As a Shipping Operator, you will closely interact with Marketing/Trading Representatives, Vessels, Vessel Managers/Owners, Agents, Inspection Companies and Customers to coordinate LNG shipping activity, ensuring contractual and regulatory requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee global LNG shipping operations, including but not limited to pre- and post-fixture voyage requirements, voyage tracking and reporting, vetting, appointing agents, appointing surveyors whilst always ensuring contractual obligations and regulatory compliance.
  • Marine services procurement as necessary, including bunkering and canal/strait transits.
  • Evaluate and assess optimisation opportunities considering the risk and return to the portfolio.
  • Conduct operations in compliance with HSSE and company standards; recognize and correct out-of‑compliance conditions.
  • Contribute to the execution of commercial agreements, including TCPs, MSPAs, CNs, vessel performance claims, off‑hire claims and demurrage claims.
  • Maintain and update internal systems in a timely fashion to ensure payables and receivables are captured to ensure accurate P&L reporting and payments are settled as per agreements.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data entry of operational information in relevant systems.
  • Act as first responder and as a support function for incidents on board the VG LNG carrier fleet.
  • Contribute to the development of ADPs.
  • Actively support the organization to effectively manage the VG LNG carrier fleet through development of internal procedures, software implementation and participating in various projects.
  • Provide market research, analytics, and intelligence to Traders.
  • Supplementary tasks as requested by your line manager.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have a bachelor's degree or a professional qualification in a complementary field.
  • Must have at least 2 years LNG commercial operations experience with strong knowledge of the LNG value chain.
  • Has strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Has advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI analytics.
  • Is curious and proactive taking accountability and ownership of their work.
  • Is innovative and takes the initiative to improve processes.
  • Can work effectively as an individual and within a team in a fast‑paced trading environment.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Has the ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Can have sailing experience, which is desirable but not necessary.
