About Us

In 1901, Henry Ford designed and built the race car called “Sweepstakes.” On October 10th of that year, he drove Sweepstakes against Alexander Winton, a famous racer and builder. Against all odds Ford won. That was the beginning – “the race that changed the world” – and it continues to this day. From our victories at Le Mans in 1966 and exactly fifty years later in 2016, to multiple World Championships, the spirit of Henry Ford lives with us every day through our motorsport efforts around the world.

About the Role

The Composite Technician plays a key role within the race team, delivering world-class carbon fibre components and repairs under the relentless demands of elite endurance racing. From pre-preg laminating and structural repairs to trim, fit, and high-pressure trackside turnaround work, this role requires exceptional craftsmanship, precision, and composure under pressure. Working closely with mechanics and engineers, the successful candidate will help ensure every component fitted to the car meets the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability.

Work closely with mechanics, engineers, and build teams to ensure optimal fit, alignment, and functionality of all components. Carry out fast and effective trackside composite repairs and turnaround work under high-pressure race and test conditions. Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement of composite manufacturing and repair processes.
  • Teamwork, Quality & Workshop Standards: Maintain accurate build records, repair documentation, and component traceability where required. Manage composite materials and consumables responsibly, ensuring correct handling and storage procedures are followed. Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment at all times. Work collaboratively across departments, maintaining clear communication and a positive, team-focused attitude. Follow all relevant health, safety, and quality procedures associated with composite manufacturing and motorsport operations.
