Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our team for a long-term project. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a variety of construction and groundwork tasks. The ideal candidate will have a valid CSCS card and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of groundwork tasks, including excavation, drainage, concreting, and paving.
• Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining construction sites.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• Proven experience as a Groundworker in construction or related fields.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to operate tools and machinery relevant to groundwork tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.

Day-to-Day

• Start the day with a team briefing to review tasks and safety protocols.
• Carry out groundwork activities such as digging, laying foundations, or installing drainage systems.
• Operate tools and equipment as needed for specific tasks.
• Ensure the worksite is clean, organized, and safe throughout the day.
• Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor.
• Wrap up the day by securing tools and equipment and preparing for the next day\’s tasks.
