This role is for a Soft Facilities Assistant who will support both Healthcare Cleaning and Catering services at the Ross on Wye Community Hospital. The position offers a flexible part‑time schedule, full training, and the option to work shifts that suit your personal circumstances. Main Duties

  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hospital environment in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
  • Carry out a wide range of general catering duties in line with Food Hygiene Regulations.
  • Identify and solve day‑to‑day operational issues.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Good level of communication skills.
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Good customer service skills/experience.
  • Ability to follow instructions and organise own work to meet team objectives.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or catering environment.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service check – subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.

Desirable

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete).
  • Understanding of health and safety processes.
