Senior Assistant Technical Officer – Pharmacy

We are seeking a Senior Assistant Technical Officer to provide support to Pharmacy services across the dispensary and ward‑based services at Wye Valley NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, dispense, distribute, and manage stock control of medicines under the supervision of registered pharmacy professionals.
  • Perform routine and non‑routine tasks, prioritising workload using standard procedures and judgement.
  • Support the supervision and training of Band 2 ATO staff.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Open to B2 applicants if the qualifications/competencies described in the Person Specification have not yet been achieved.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy practice and medication safety.
  • Ability to use standard procedures and exercise judgement in a fast‑paced environment.
