An exciting opportunity has become available in the Wye Valley NHS Trust Frailty team. We are looking for an experienced Frailty Nurse to step into the post of ward sister / charge nurse for Ashgrove ward. You will be expected to provide leadership and support to the nursing team on the ward and ensure standards are maintained. Ashgrove ward is a 24 bedded frailty unit offering geriatrician input for general frailty patients from the frailty assessment unit, AMU and ED.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of Ashgrove ward, supporting the staff, and ensuring we deliver the best possible care to our patients. This will cover all aspects of the Band 7 ward sister / charge nurse role including staffing and rosters for the nursing team, ensuring patient care standards are met, ensuring ward governance standards are met, investigating and responding to incidents, concerns & complaints. You will be supported by the Ashgrove junior sisters as well as 2 fellow frailty sisters on Dinmore and Garway ward. Similarly, you will work closely with the Frailty matron to manage the ward.
