We’re seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Application Support Analyst to support, optimise, and continuously improve a large-scale Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform. You’ll work closely with the EAM Technical Lead, IT teams, business users, and an external IBM service partner.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day support point for the IBM Maximo user community
- Provide hands-on Maximo application support, guidance, and user assistance
- Manage and resolve Maximo incidents and service requests, including root cause analysis
- Liaise between end users, IT, and the IBM service partner to ensure effective defect resolution
- Configure and administer Maximo (workflows, escalations, security groups, domains, business rules)
- Support Maximo upgrades, releases, testing, and business validation
- Maintain system documentation, provide training support, and contribute as a Maximo SME
This role would suit an individual who has gained some Maximo experience in their current role as a 'Super User' and is looking to focus more in this area moving forward.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrable experience supporting IBM Maximo in a large or complex organisation
- Strong functional knowledge of Maximo modules: asset lifecycle, work management, PM, materials, and procurement
- Proven application support experience including incident triage, RCA, and escalation
- Experience with Maximo integrations and interfaces
- Involvement in Maximo implementations, upgrades, or major enhancements
This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and evolution of a business-critical Maximo platform with a leading rail organisation. This is a permanent role and you will work in a hybrid pattern, with travel from home to depot sites in the Midlands and the North when required. All travel to sites will be expensed. The salary is up to £45k + excellent package depending on experience.
