Transformation Portfolio Director - Insurance - Β£900 per day
We're working with a fast-growing organisation in the insurance sector to appoint a Transformation Portfolio Director for an initial 18-month contract.
This is a senior, highly visible role with responsibility for bringing together a significant portfolio of transformation programmes across the Group and ensuring they are prioritised, sequenced and governed effectively. You'll work closely with the executive leadership team to create a clear, integrated view of change across the organisation β understanding dependencies between programmes, challenging priorities and ensuring investment is focused on the initiatives that will deliver the greatest value.
A key part of the role will be chairing the Change Board, providing the governance through which business units bring forward transformation initiatives and investment cases for budget approval.
The portfolio is broad and will span areas including Finance, Operations, Technology, AI & Data, outsourcing, enterprise architecture, operating model transformation and organisational integration.
Key Skills
- Led complex, enterprise-wide transformation portfolios in a fast-paced organisation
- Strong portfolio governance, investment prioritisation and benefits realisation experience
- Built and managed integrated transformation roadmaps, with a strong understanding of sequencing, dependencies and critical paths

- Experience operating across multiple business units and transformation programmes simultaneously
- A strong background in insurance would be ideal, although broader Financial Services or similarly complex, regulated environments will also be considered
