An experienced Senior Data Consultant is required to join our banking client on an initial six-month contract to support the delivery of enterprise-grade data products. This role will play a critical part in translating business requirements into well-defined, high-quality, reusable data assets, sitting at the intersection of business, data architecture, and engineering. The successful candidate will lead source-to-target mapping activities and define, document, and maintain data quality rules in collaboration with data engineers, architects, and governance teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data quality concepts, controls, and governance, alongside practical experience supporting the release of data products into production. You will also possess hands-on data skills in Excel and/or SQL, with a solid understanding of OLAP, OLTP, and relational data structures.
Key Requirements:- Banking industry background
- 10+ years’ experience working on data platforms, data products, or analytics solutions
- Strong knowledge of data frameworks, standards, and templates
- Ability to support the release of data products and data assets into production
- Strong SQL and/or advanced Excel skills
- Proven experience with source-to-target mapping
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts and controls
- Experience working on API-backed data products or Lakehouse architecture (nice to have)
- Familiarity with data governance operating models and stewardship frameworks (nice to have)
Duration: 6-month
Location: London, (hybrid, travel to office when required)
Day Rate: £425 p/d (Outside IR35)
