Global Media client now requires an experienced Backend/Platform Engineer to ensure their cloud estate and infrastructure is secure, capable and resilient throughout their modernisation programme. This role will work collaboratively with engineering teams, covering non-functional requirements and continuous improvement to sustain functional requirements/designs during deployment and post-go live.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent hands-on cloud infrastructure knowledge with hands-on experience using AWS.
- Previous experience covering non-functional requirements (NFR) with a deep understanding of how to sustain functional designs/requirements.
- The ability to support event driven architecture/event streaming using Kafka.
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of APIs/Microservices.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to mentor junior team members and implement best practices across the team.
This is a permanent opportunity with a base salary of £70,000 + excellent benefits. Hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Central London office and the rest remote.
