An experienced Finance & Procurement Functional Lead is required to join the UK’s leading trade and logistics organisation, taking accountability for SAP solutions across Finance and Procurement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring SAP solutions are aligned to business strategy, delivered to best practice standards and provide ongoing value to the organisation.
Working closely with business partners and senior stakeholders, the Functional Lead will support strategic planning and lead a team of SAP specialists. The role requires strong capability in delivery oversight, capacity planning and agile ways of working, alongside the ability to advise the business on SAP best practice, stay aligned to the SAP roadmap and work closely with strategic partners to drive continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will bring a strong functional SAP background across Finance and Controlling, Procurement and related areas, with proven experience delivering and supporting complex, highly integrated SAP solutions. You will be experienced in leading multi-location, multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix environment and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. A delivery-focused mindset, adaptability to change and experience working with third-party vendors are essential.
Key Requirements
- Strong SAP background across Finance and Procurement
- Experience with end-to-end SAP solution architecture
- Solid knowledge of ITIL service management
- Background as a functional lead across Finance & Controlling, Procurement, Inventory Management, VIM and Concur
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
- Knowledge of SAP EPPM (PS, CPM, PPM), OpenText, REFX, BPC, SAC and BW (nice to have)
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA 2023 (nice to have)
