Ventula Consulting is partnering with a leading UK organisation to recruit a Data Protection Specialist on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced privacy professional who enjoys working across Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), privacy operations, DPIAs, incident management and day-to-day GDPR compliance activities. Working closely with Legal, HR, Technology and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's data protection framework and ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other data subject rights requests
- Conduct data discovery, review, redaction and disclosure activities
- Support the investigation and management of personal data incidents and breaches
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and provide practical privacy advice to stakeholders
- Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and privacy documentation
- Support privacy audits, compliance reviews and remediation activities
- Review supplier arrangements and support data processing and data sharing assessments
- Provide guidance on UK GDPR and data protection best practice across the organisation
- Assist with regulatory enquiries and privacy-related investigations where required
- Deliver privacy awareness support and training activities
