Data Administrator – 12-month FTC - £30-35k – Fully Remote

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Data Administrator to join a collaborative, high-performing data team delivering a large-scale digital transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and excellent stakeholder communication experience to make a real impact by improving data quality, structure, and reporting across a major public sector initiative.

In this role, you’ll work across multiple datasets, supporting the transformation of both digital and non-digital data sources. You’ll liaise directly with external stakeholders — particularly Local Authorities — to collect, clarify, and quality-check incoming data. Your input will directly support broader engineering and reporting teams, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and aligned to programme requirements.

Success in this role will require an analytical mindset, confidence with Excel (especially its more advanced functions), and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You’ll be a vital part of a wider transformation effort, where organisation, clarity, and communication are just as important as technical ability.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a data administration, analysis, or transformation role
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — especially with external and public-sector partners
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data handling
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple data tasks simultaneously
  • SQL
  • FME & QGIS (desirable)
  • Ideally experienced in fully remote working environments
