High-growth global FinTech payments scale-up now requires a Director of Payment Operations to lead their global payment operations function.
This role will shape their overall payment function allowing the business to scale and increase their vertical offering, covering card issuing operations, provider and scheme relationships and associated change.
The role:
- Ensure seamless and reliable payment processes while delivering platform migration and scheme and regulatory change.
- Owning relationships with card schemes, BIN sponsors, issuers and processors.
- Cutting scheme and supplier costs through challenge, refunds and supplier exits.
- Leading incident response and strengthening controls, resilience and audit readiness.
- Developing a global team and improving processes, reporting and automation.
Key Requirements:
- Senior payment operations leadership in a regulated environment.
- Deep hands-on card issuing experience (prepaid and/or debit), including scheme compliance, settlement and disputes.
- Experience managing schemes and critical suppliers, including commercial discussions.
- Familiarity with non-card rails (Faster Payments, Bacs, SEPA, ACH) and operational resilience requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manager ops teams, issuers, vendor and stakeholders.
This is a permanent opportunity which provides a base salary of £160,000 + bonus + wider package.
In terms of working structure, this role is flexible with 1-2 days per week in our clients Central London office and the rest remote.
