Full Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organised and motivated Payroll/Finance Administrator to join our finance team in our head office in Harrogate.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Payroll / Finance Administrator is responsible for managing employee pay and supporting financial operations within an organisation.

The role combines payroll processing with broader finance and administrative duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions
  • Check and monitor commission calculations
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Manage overtime, sick pay, and holiday pay with assistance of HR Department.
  • Ensure payroll complies with tax laws (e. g. PAYE, National Insurance)
  • Submit reports to HMRC and maintain payroll records
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Process invoices and expenses
  • Reconcile accounts and support audits
  • Handle payroll queries and maintain employee records
  • Input manual timesheets into payroll software
  • Input payroll costs into project costing system
  • Adhoc Financial Duties as required.
