Important: Going through the required vetting & clearances to work on MOD & MOJ sites is a must for this role. Travel to different sites is also required.
Ventro, Firntec and LivGreen are an exciting group of companies focused on fire-safety services and net zero retrofit. As part of our Passive Division, as a Fire Stopper you will be required to undertake all types of fire stopping and compartmentation installation and remediation, as well as providing full support to our end client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Fire Stopping Installations (Batt & Mastic, Pipe Collar, Putty Pad, Metre Boxes)
- Conduct destructive surveys as required
- Fabricate and install fire-rated walls and partitions
- Ensure proper sealing of penetrations to maintain fire safety standards
- Plan and implement routine and demand call visits for your area
- Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a full understanding
- Able to work on own initiative
- Be responsible for the management and security of own equipment stock in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriate
- Completion of relevant paperwork including use of a live reporting mobile app/portal
- Attend training sessions as required and identify and communicate with manager any personal training and development needs
- Weekly reporting to management
- Attending quarterly team meetings and sharing best practices and experiences
- Understand the company’s obligations under the contract
- Always ensure compliance with Ventro processes and procedures
- Maintain a presentable image by adherence to the Ventro dress code
- Promote the profile of Ventro
- Promote a clear focus on quality assurance, service accessibility and responsiveness, maximising client involvement and feedback
- Participate in all pre-job “Toolbox Talks”
The successful candidate will:
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and relevant qualifications (e.g., Passive Fire Protection NVQ)
- Good all-round knowledge of fire stopping and compartmentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills: Diagnosing and addressing issues effectively
- CSCS Card
- Asbestos Awareness
- Be able to deliver exceptional customer service
- Valid UK Driving Licence and a willingness to travel, whilst we do try to minimise travel time, occasional trips to outlying areas may be necessary as we are nationwide
- Excellent understanding of and usage of technology, inc client portal
