The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Support Executive to join our Nottingham-based estimating team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for passive fire protection projects across the UK. You will work closely with the sales team to support enquiries, tenders, and pricing strategies, ensuring all estimates are commercially sound, technically compliant, and delivered to deadline.
This role is well suited to a detail-driven estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing accuracy, compliance, and commercial competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and competitive estimates for passive fire protection works, including fire stopping systems, compartmentation, fire doors, intumescent coatings, cavity barriers, and fire resistant boards
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to complete detailed take-offs
- Calculate material requirements, labour costs, and project timelines
- Conduct site surveys where required
- Work closely with the sales team to prepare quotations and support tender submissions
- Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing
- Maintain estimating databases and up-to-date price lists
- Ensure all estimates comply with Building Regulations Part B and relevant British Standards
- Identify project risks and highlight technical or compliance considerations
- Collaborate with project managers, fire engineers, and installation teams to ensure estimates are deliverable
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven estimating experience within passive fire protection, fire stopping, or the construction industry
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple estimates in a deadline-driven environment
Desirable
- Technical qualification in construction, fire safety, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of passive fire protection systems and compartmentation principles
- Understanding of Building Regulations Part B and fire safety compliance requirements
- Experience with CRM or construction estimating systems
- Fire safety-related certifications
Travel: Occasional site visits across the UK – access to reliable transport required.
