If you thrive on structure, take pride in precision, and want to work for a company that genuinely invests in your career, this could be the role for you!
Please note, this could also be a great opportunity for experienced Site Managers who are ready to take the next step into project management. If you have strong on-site fire compliance or construction experience, we will back you with the support and development you need to make that move.
What’s In It For You
- Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per year, plus a car allowance of £4,200 per annum
- Clear career progression - a structured path from Site Manager to Project Manager and beyond, with active promotion from within
- Meaningful work delivering fire safety projects that protect lives across the region
- A high-performing, supportive team with a strong culture of ownership and quality
- Professional development support including training, FIRAS/BMTRADA accreditation pathways, and CPD opportunities
- Real autonomy and trust - manage your own portfolio of projects with genuine responsibility from day one
- Job stability in a resilient, regulation-driven sector with consistent demand
The Role
You will take ownership of 3–5 live fire compliance projects simultaneously - spanning fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation works. As the central point of coordination, you will be accountable for safe delivery, client relationships, and the performance of your site teams.
Day-to-day you will be:
- Managing multiple live fire compliance programmes from inception to completion
- Leading site teams and subcontractors with clarity and confidence
- Overseeing CDM compliance, RAMS, toolbox talks, and H&S documentation
- Keeping clients informed with progress reports, RFIs and delay notifications
- Conducting fire door inspections, fire stopping checks, and audit sign-offs
- Controlling materials and managing subcontractor performance and quality
- Building relationships with building control bodies and identifying future project opportunities
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who leads by example, stays organised under pressure, and takes real pride in compliance and quality. You might be an established Project Manager or an experienced Site Manager ready to step up.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in fire compliance - fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation
- 3 or more years in a construction or fire compliance environment
- CSCS card, SMSTS, and Emergency First Aid certification
- FIRAS or BMTRADA accreditation (desirable, but not essential for the right candidate)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors
- Sound commercial awareness and confidence making decisions under pressure
- Good computer literacy – MS Office packages and smartphone-based tools
- Prince2 or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management, or equivalent (desirable)
- Willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays
Considering a step up from Site Manager? You don’t need a PM title on your CV to apply. If you have been running fire compliance sites, managing trades, and are ready to grow into a broader project management role, we want to hear from you. We will provide structured support and mentorship to help you make the transition successfully.
