Ventro and Firntec are sister companies focused on fire-safety installation, maintenance and surveying services. Together the companies generate annual revenue of c.£50m. Due to rapid growth (organic and through acquisition), we are seeking a technically strong Corporate Finance & Reporting Manager as part of our finance team (total 10 people) based in Plymouth. Reporting to the CFO, we are looking for a qualified accountant to take a lead role in reporting/budgeting for the overall business and financial aspects of our acquisition programme. This will include producing management accounts for acquired entities before they are fully integrated.
Whilst the role has no initial direct reports, matrix/project management skills will be required. In addition, we anticipate strong growth and are looking for an individual who in-time can build and motivate a small team. Corporate finance experience, whilst advantageous, is not a pre-requisite as full training will be provided. The role would suit a practice accountant keen to broaden their skill-set in industry or an industry accountant interested in corporate finance.
Key duties:
- Working with the CFO and Financial Controller in delivering professional financial board reports. This typically includes downloading information from the Netsuite accounting system and presenting it clearly for analysis in a Powerpoint format, highlighting key trends and salient points.
- Supporting the CFO with maintenance of the group’s long term Excel financial model which requires updating on at least a monthly basis.
- Supporting the CFO with short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
- Key role in preparation of annual budget.
- Supporting on financial aspects of the acquisition process including:
- Desktop financial evaluation of targets and valuation
- Supporting the CFO with preparation of business cases and investment papers
- Detailed due diligence of targets
- Evaluating sources and uses of funds
- Setting up acquired companies on Netsuite and producing management accounts
- Working to integrate financial records
