Ingrams Yard (Exterior) Ingrams Yard (Exterior) Hosting a market
Ventnor Exchange, the organisation behind Brave Island, took on Ingrams Yard in Autumn 2023. Now, we’re asking people across the Island for their thoughts on what they want this new space to be.
Ventnor Exchange is working with a company called Hemingway Design to develop proposals to turn this old builders’ yard in Ventnor into a space for creativity, making, learning, and skill sharing. What could it become? What would you like to see there? Creative studios? Rehearsal space? Workshops? A place to hang out or build your skills? If you are aged between 14 and 25, and feel you have some ideas to share, we want to hear from you!
We will be holding a gathering at Ingrams Yard in September to have a more in depth discussion with local young people, getting your perspective on what you feel is missing on the Island that we might be able to provide with this new arts hub. Come along to see the building as it is right now, take a look at what we’ve been doing so far, and join in on an open discussion about what it is you need to support you with your life here on the Island.
